Senem Cagla Bilgin is an independent curator specializing in Central Asian and European Contemporary Art. She graduated with a B.A. in Art History from Hacettepe University in 2013 and holds an M.A. in Curating Contemporary Art from Central Saint Martins UAL, London in 2015. She also studied 21. Century Contemporary Art at Sotheby’s Institute of Art.
Bilgin has been working as an independent curator and art consultant with collectors, galleries and museums since 2012. She curated solo and group exhibitions on different topics - Ways Of Seeing Art, Immigration and Borders, Global Warming - with emerging artists Cristina BanBan, Antoine Langenieux-Villard, Caroline Jane Harris, Vincent Hart, Ben Mcdonnell.
She worked and interned in various galleries, museums and international art fairs in the UK, Turkey, and Switzerland including Unit G Gallery, Saatchi Gallery, Siyah Beyaz Art Gallery. She curated the London City Island contemporary art exhibition with 30 artists in 2018.
Senem is the founder of Art Elsewhere. She currently lives and works in London.
