Art Elsewhere is a London-based arts and culture consultancy founded in 2017 by Senem Cagla Bilgin-Keys.

Specializing in contemporary art from Europe and the Middle East, we are dedicated to promoting and representing emerging and mid-career artists.

We offer bespoke advisory, curatorial, and art management services tailored to the needs of galleries, art foundations, and collectors. Our mission is to foster creativity, build meaningful connections, and bring fresh perspectives to creative industry.

Advisory for Galleries

We promote galleries that specialise in contemporary art, emerging and mid career artists in Europe. For galleries, we strive to handle the business side of their programme including client relationship management, curating, and advising.

We help them find and access new markets and clients to grow gallery’s international profile in the market.

We provide comprehensive business-side support, including:

Client relationship management: Building and maintaining robust connections with collectors, curators, and art institutions.

Curatorial services: Designing compelling exhibitions and artist programs that align with the gallery’s vision.

Strategic and financial advisory: Offering insights into market trends, pricing strategies, and artist portfolio development to help galleries make informed decisions that drive growth.

We also assist in developing financial strategies to support galleries in attending prestigious international art fairs, ensuring they maximize exposure for their artists and establish a stronger foothold in the global market.

Advisory for Collectors

Research

  • Developing and defining curatorial frameworks of each clients' collections

  • Coordinating gallery, studio, museum, biennial and fair visits for clients

  • Searching through auction material before auctions to make relevant selections for each client

  • Searching through gallery preview material before art fairs and exhibition openings to make relevant selections for each client

Acquisition

  • Gathering and analysing all information on the artwork, including provenance and condition including market and pricing research

  • Negotiating price/payment terms

  • Auction acquisitions, primary and secondary market acquisitions

Logistics

  • Assist with organization of artwork logistics, including shipping, installation and insurance

  • Working with a network of shippers, art handlers, conservators, and other fine art professionals to ensure best possible care for client’s work

  • Organizing all shipments, import/export licenses, and documents related to acquisition

Collection management

  • Provide updated regular artwork valuations including collection management on Artlogic, Artsy and ArtBinder

  • Selling works on behalf of a client when collector wishes to part with works from their collection

  • Organising loaning of clients’ works to museums, institutions

  • Full collection management, which includes collection and maintenance of all documents and images related to transaction, including artwork images, and all shipping/invoicing documenting

Advisory for Artists

Introduction

For artists we strive to handle the business side of their art, helping them find and access new markets in a way that that they can focus on their artistic growth.

We make introductions and help artists manage and grow the relationships including exhibition planning, curating, marketing and networking– refining your target collector.

On the growing relationships side, I:

  • Help artists participate international exhibitions, biennales and art fairs

  • Connect artists with clients through AE’s professional network, website and social media tools

  • Introduce and connect artists with galleries in Europe through AE’s network

On the business management side, I:

  • We manage the strategy including introduction and application process 

  • We manage the marketing (who to approach, when, price points etc)

  • We manage the logistics (negotiating, budgeting, transport, insurance, tax, invoicing etc)
